In spite of the pending typhoon and Cebu being under Signal No. 1, today became a powerful reminder that when Rotarians choose to serve, nothing can stop the spirit of “Service Above Self.”
Led by President Sungju Kim of Rotary Club of Daegu Eunhasu (Korea),President Francis Walter Ong of Rotary Club of Cebu Port Centre, andAG Walter Cang of Rotary Club of Cebu, the three clubs braved the rains to personally visit the Ance Daycare Center, a humble but hope-filled learning space operating inside the old Ludo Cemetery.
Even under challenging weather, smiles, compassion, and generosity filled the day as Rotarians handed out food and essentials to the children—proving once more that true service shines brightest when circumstances are most difficult.
The visiting Korean club also expressed their commitment to donate funds to support the ongoing operations of the daycare center, helping ensure a safer, more nurturing learning environment for the children.
This visit became especially meaningful knowing that just last Saturday, November 22, RCCPC formally signed the Friendship Club Agreement with RC Daegu Eunhasu. In less than a week, that partnership has already evolved into real collaboration, real action, and real impact.
We witnessed what it truly means to be People of Action. Rain did not stop us. Challenges did not stop us. Because when hearts are committed to serve, the work continues—and lives are touched.
This is how we Unite for Good.
This is Service Above Self.
