A Renewed Landmark, A Lasting Legacy: Rotary Club of Tagum North Celebrates 38 Years of Service

Standing proudly along Pioneer Avenue corner Rizal Street, directly across Christ the King Cathedral in Tagum City, the newly refurbished landmark of the Rotary Club of Tagum North shines with renewed purpose, reflecting nearly four decades of meaningful service, enduring fellowship, and unwavering commitment to the community.

More than a physical structure, the landmark embodies the club’s rich history, collective identity, and steadfast dedication to Rotary’s enduring motto, “Service Above Self.” Its renewed appearance marks a significant milestone as the club celebrates 38 years of making a difference in the lives of the people it serves.

Strategically situated along one of Tagum City’s busiest and most visible thoroughfares, the landmark serves as a prominent symbol of Rotary’s presence in the community. Its location offers an excellent opportunity to enhance public awareness of Rotary, strengthen the organization’s image, and highlight the continuing contributions of the Rotary Club of Tagum North toward community development and humanitarian service.

Over the years, the landmark has undergone transformations in design, evolving alongside the club’s growth and changing aspirations. Each renewal reflects not only a fresh architectural expression but also the club’s ability to embrace new ideas while remaining firmly rooted in its founding principles. The latest refurbishment represents another chapter in this continuing journey—a visual reminder that while structures may change, the spirit of service remains constant.

Under the leadership of Club President Robyn Nino D. Pereyras, with Club Public Image Chair Jorish S. Amargo spearheading the project, the revitalized landmark underscores the club’s commitment to maintaining a strong, recognizable, and meaningful presence in Tagum City. It reflects a shared vision of making Rotary more visible, more accessible, and more deeply connected to the people whose lives it seeks to uplift.

Public image is an essential component of Rotary’s mission. A well-maintained and strategically positioned landmark does more than catch the public’s attention; it tells a story. It communicates the values of an organization, invites curiosity, inspires confidence, and encourages people to learn more about the service projects and humanitarian initiatives that define its work.

For the Rotary Club of Tagum North, this renewed landmark stands as an invitation to the community—to witness Rotary in action, to recognize the power of volunteerism, and to become partners in building a better and more compassionate society.

As the club marks its 38th year, the refurbishment also offers an opportunity to look back with gratitude on the friendships forged, the projects undertaken, and the lives touched through years of dedicated service. These accomplishments form the foundation upon which the club continues to build its future. The landmark, therefore, is not simply a tribute to the past; it is a declaration of the club’s determination to carry its mission forward with renewed enthusiasm and purpose.

Its presence along a major city thoroughfare ensures that the Rotary name remains visible to residents, visitors, motorists, and passersby. More importantly, it serves as a daily reminder that behind the Rotary emblem are men and women committed to making a positive difference through fellowship, integrity, leadership, and service.

As Rotary Club of Tagum North moves forward under the leadership of President Robyn Nino D. Pereyras, the renewed landmark symbolizes a continuing promise: to preserve the club’s proud legacy while embracing fresh opportunities to serve. It stands as a testament to the enduring power of collective action and the belief that meaningful change begins when people come together for the good of others.

Thirty-eight years of service have shaped the club’s identity. This renewed landmark now gives that legacy a refreshed expression—one that honors yesterday’s achievements, celebrates today’s commitment, and inspires tomorrow’s possibilities.

A landmark may be built with concrete and steel, but its true significance is measured by the lives it touches and the hope it inspires.

For the Rotary Club of Tagum North, this is more than a refurbishment. It is a renewed statement of purpose, a celebration of 38 years of service, and a lasting reminder that the spirit of Rotary continues to shine brightly in the heart of Tagum City.
