This mission is a powerful reminder that service becomes most meaningful when it reaches those who need it most.
250 indigent beneficiaries from Barangay Lawaan 3, Talisay City received their prescription eyeglasses. At the afternoon, another 250 indigent recipients from Poblacion, Pardo, Cebu City will receive theirs, completing a total of 500 lives touched in one day.
Most of our beneficiaries come from underserved families in these two barangays. For many of them, owning prescription eyeglasses is not a priority, not because they don’t need it, but because daily survival comes first. Today, we help remove that burden.
Through the partnership of the Rotary Club of Cebu Port Centre and Owndays Philippines, this initiative is more than a distribution. It is dignity restored. It is an opportunity regained. It is a clearer vision for workers earning for their families, and parents caring for their children.
Representing RCCPC in this meaningful service are President Francis Walter Ong, DITO Jeffrey Philip Tan, Directors Robert Barquilla and Marlon Pajulas, leaders who understand that true leadership is measured by impact on the ground.
Held at the Lawaan 1 Gym, Talisay City, today’s outreach reflects what Rotary stands for: practical, compassionate action that directly improves lives.
When we help someone see clearly, we also help them move forward with confidence and hope.
This is Service Above Self, lived out in the most tangible way.
