Ride to End Polio 2026, One Ride, One Mission
Leaders and representatives of Rotary Clubs under Area 1B gathered to finalize the plans and mechanics for the Ride to End Polio 2026, scheduled on October 24 in celebration of World Polio Day.
Spearheaded by the Rotary Club of Cebu, with the support of the Rotary Club of Cebu Port Centre, Rotary Club of Cebu North, and Rotary Club of Cebu Naga Central, the relay ride will cover approximately 570 kilometers around Cebu Island in 10 stages, from Cebu City to the south, along the west coast, through the north, and back to Cebu City.
Each club is encouraged to have at least one rider take on a 50 to 60 kilometer stage and carry the baton toward the final destination at MCWD Family Park.
Present at the planning meeting were VP Clark Gothong, PAG Jun Falcon, and Secretary Ludwig Amandoron of Rotary Club of Cebu Port Centre; Shaun Beavis, End Polio Now Ride 2026 Lead Person, Edward Tan Ting, and President George Neil Paraoan of Rotary Club of Cebu; and President Dax Estrada of Rotary Club of Cebu Naga Central.
The ride is also open to other Rotary clubs, families, friends, and associates who wish to join at their own expense.
More than a cycling event, this is a journey of fellowship, service, and shared commitment to a polio free world.
One baton. One journey. One common goal. Together, let us Ride to End Polio.
