RC Cebu Port Centre Joins District 3860 in Advancing School Rehabilitation Through MOA Signing

A meaningful step forward for education, resilience, and service.

Today marks the official signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between Rotary International District 3860 / The Rotary Foundation and the Department of Education Cebu City Division, in partnership with the Cebu City Government, for the School Rehabilitation Project.

This initiative will bring renewed hope and improved learning environments to three beneficiary schools: Banawa Elementary School, Sawang Calero Elementary School, and Guba National High School.

Funded through the District Disaster Fund of The Rotary Foundation, this project reflects Rotary’s commitment to rebuilding communities and uplifting lives through education.

Spearheaded by DRFC Chair Jensen Racho and District Governor Angel “Jong” Fernandez, and supported by Rotary Club of Cebu West, Rotary Club of Mandaue, and Rotary Club of Cebu Port Centre, this collaboration reflects the spirit of Service Above Self.

We are grateful for the partnership with Cebu City Mayor Nestor D. Archival, Local School Board Chairman Joy Augustus Young, DepEd Cebu City Superintendent Nimfa Bongo, and the school principals who share this vision for a better future.

Together, we are not just rehabilitating schools, we are restoring hope, rebuilding dreams, and shaping the future of our children.
