This meeting was a powerful reminder that when Rotarians come together with purpose, impact becomes inevitable.
We gathered to finalize the project costing and approval for the District Project, rehabilitating three public school buildings: Banawa Elementary School (led by RC Cebu Port Centre), Sawang Calero Elementary School (led by RC Cebu West), and Guba High School (led by RC Mandaue). More than numbers, what we aligned were shared commitments to restore safe, dignified learning spaces for our children, projects made possible through The Rotary Foundation’s Disaster Response Grant.
But the vision did not stop there.
District 3860 is also stepping forward to fund the construction of a 4 classroom ALS building in Barangay Lorega, opening doors for underserved learners to continue their education and rewrite their future. And with five more schools soon to be identified, this initiative is only the beginning of a greater movement to uplift communities through education.
With the presence and leadership of District Governor Angel “Jong” Fernandez, PDG Philip Tan, RCCPC President Francis Walter Ong, DRFC & DGND Jensen Racho, District Finance Chair & PAG Antonio Tan, Jr., and Dir. Robert Barquilla, the meeting was not just about planning, it was about purpose, unity, and legacy.
Because in Rotary, every classroom rebuilt is a future restored.
