250 residents of Barangay Lawaan 3, Talisay City received free eye check-ups during the 1st batch of Eye Camp: Vision for the Future, held at the Lawaan 3 Barangay Hall.
This initiative reflects what becomes possible when service, partnership, and purpose come together. Through the collaboration of the Rotary Club of Cebu Port Centre (RCCPC) and OWNDAYS, lives are being touched, one careful assessment at a time.
Our heartfelt appreciation to RCCPC, led by President Francis Walter Ong, with the strong support of AG Nestor Toledo, PAG Antonio Tan, Jr., PAG Jensen Racho, DITO Jeffrey Philip Tan, Dir. Robert Barquilla and Sps. Eva Ackermann whose commitment to Service Above Self continues to bring Rotary’s mission closer to our communities.
We also extend our sincere thanks to the OWNDAYS Team, headed by Marketing Manager Ms. Jammie Gregorio, for their professionalism and compassion in conducting thorough eye examinations.
Important Note:
Today’s activity focuses on eye check-ups and vision assessments only. Prescription glasses will be distributed on February 13, 2026, after all examination results from both batches are properly taken, reviewed, and collated, ensuring accurate and appropriate eyewear for each beneficiary.
Looking Ahead:
The service continues tomorrow as RCCPC and OWNDAYS bring Eye Camp: Vision for the Future to Barangay Poblacion, Pardo, Cebu City, at their Barangay Hall, where another 250 beneficiaries will receive free eye check-ups.
This project aims to address common vision concerns such as myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism, helping our communities move one step closer to clearer sight and a brighter future.
This is Rotary in action.
This is service with care and purpose.
This is Uniting for Good.
