In response to requests from partner schools for improved teaching tools, the Rotary Club of Sampaguita Grace Park launched Shield of Learning: Enhancing Classrooms Through Vision and Voice, a Basic Education and Literacy initiative supporting public schools in Caloocan City.
At M.B. Asistio Sr. High School, the club installed a projector, screen, speakers, amplifier, and microphones to support interactive classroom instruction, presentations, and school programs. Tandang Sora Integrated School also received speakers, an amplifier, and microphones to improve communication during lessons and assemblies.
With clearer sound and visuals in the classroom, teachers can now deliver lessons more effectively while students engage more actively in discussions, presentations, and school activities.
To ensure sustainability, the Rotary Club of Sampaguita Grace Park and M.B. Asistio Sr. High School formalized their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, committing to the proper use and maintenance of the equipment.
Through this initiative, more than 3,900 students and teachers now benefit from clearer communication and more engaging learning experiences, reflecting Rotary’s commitment to
Basic Education and Literacy.
The project reflects the club’s continuing commitment to strengthen education and community partnerships during Rotary Year 2025–2026 under the
leadership of Club President Vangie Abanes.
