UCP Sheryll Ann Mesina Honored with Global Leadership and Environmental Stewardship Icon Award

The Gawad Dangal Filipino Awards has recognized United Chosen President (UCP) Sheryll Ann Mesina of the Rotary Club of Aseana Manila, District 3810, with the Global Leadership and Environmental Stewardship Icon Award.

Mesina, who also serves as President of the ASEAN Carbon Market Sustainability Council and an Arch Klumph Society (AKS) member, was unable to attend the awarding ceremony as she was in Isabela fulfilling her duties. There, she was leading programs on climate change mitigation and adaptation, including carbon offset initiatives, sustainable agriculture practices, and capacity-building workshops for farmers and youth.

“These efforts are aligned with the goals of the ASEAN Carbon Market and with Rotary’s mission of advancing environmental sustainability and climate education,” Mesina said in a message.

Representing her at the ceremony and receiving the award on her behalf was John Gindap.

Mesina expressed deep gratitude to the Gawad Dangal Filipino Awards, saying the recognition strengthens her resolve to continue advocating for sustainability, climate resilience, and global cooperation.
