"Tubig Para Sa Kinabukasan" - RC Downtown San Juan Donates Water Filtration System to Tambis Elementary School

In a meaningful act of service, the Rotary Club of Downtown San Juan, led by Good President Heman Leopando, officially turned over a water filtration system to Tambis Elementary School in Loboc, Bohol on October 10, 2025. The donation aims to provide students and faculty with access to clean and safe drinking water—a vital step toward promoting health and well-being in the school community.

The turnover ceremony was held on the school grounds and attended by members of the Rotary Club of Downtown San Juan, school officials, and representatives from partner organizations. The water filtration system was formally received by School Head Vidal Inog, along with teachers and students who expressed heartfelt gratitude for the project.

This initiative was made possible through the collaboration and support of Loctob Water Inc., the Rotary Club of Ada Sunrise, and the Scissortail Rotary Passport Club. Their joint efforts exemplify the Rotary spirit of “Service Above Self,” working together to bring lasting impact to communities in need.

President Heman Leopando highlighted the importance of the project in his message during the event, saying, “Clean water is a basic human right. Through this project, we hope to improve not only the health of the students but also their capacity to learn and thrive in a safe school environment.”

The newly installed filtration system will ensure that the students of Tambis Elementary School have consistent access to potable water, reducing health risks caused by unsafe drinking sources and reinforcing Rotary’s focus area of providing clean water and sanitation.

As the Rotary Club of Downtown San Juan continues to implement service projects across the country, this initiative in Loboc stands as a testament to how partnerships and compassion can create sustainable change in local communities.
