Tourism Pulse Check: RCSFLU Welcomes DOT Leader at 18th Meeting

The Rotary Club of San Fernando, La Union (RCSFLU) held its 18th Regular Meeting on December 2, 2025, hosted by Team Vin’s Court, bringing together members for an evening of learning, fellowship, and meaningful discussion. The highlight of the meeting was the presence of OIC-Regional Director Evangeline Marie M. Dadat of the Department of Tourism (DOT), who served as the guest speaker.
Director Dadat delivered an insightful presentation on the current status of the tourism industry, touching on trends, regional performance, and the ongoing recovery of the sector. She emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships, community engagement, and sustainable tourism practices to boost local destinations. Her message resonated strongly with Rotarians, many of whom are active stakeholders in community and economic development.
Members expressed appreciation for the director’s timely insights, which not only broadened their understanding of the industry but also inspired fresh ideas for Rotary initiatives aligned with tourism promotion and local development.
