The Rotary Club of Rodriguez Central Successfully Holds Fundraising Event “Shoot for a Cause”

On 16 August 2025, the Rotary Club of Rodriguez Central (RCRC) led by CP Almira Buce, in collaboration with Rizal Shooters Club, Inc.,headed by President Jeffrey Arcalas, successfully organized a whole-day fundraising event entitled, “Shoot for a Cause”, at Rizal PPO, Tanay, Rizal.

PCol Feloteo A. Gonzalgo, Provincial Director of Rizal PPO, graced the event as a guest of honour and participated in the ceremonial shoot which signalled the start of the event. Attended by more than 100 people, the program included two (2) batches of gun safety seminar, practical shooting, a friendly shooting competition, and concluded with an electronic raffle. 

Plaques were awarded to the winners in the shooting competition. For the electronic raffle, the five (5) winners of consolation prizes each brought home a box of ammunition, while the grand prize winner, Atty. Victor C. Longos, brought home a gun worth Php 31,500.00. RCRC wishes to extend its warmest gratitude to its partner in this fundraising project, the Rizal Shooters Club, Inc., friends Jim and Norma, all clubs that participated, Good Presidents, guests, friends, participants, sponsors, its Mother Club RC Rodriguez, and most importantly, to the RCRC family!  The event would not have been successful without their support.

The event is not merely about focus, fun, and friendly competition. It was an opportunity to test our aim, challenge our friends, and aim for our target. But what was more interesting about the activity is that we were not just aiming for the target, we were aiming for a greater purpose, which is to help make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Part of the proceeds of the event will fund the club's outreach program at Molave Youth Home in Payatas, Quezon City, with 170 resident youth beneficiaries. The rest of the proceeds will be used for other upcoming service projects of RCRC.

Together, let us all gear up, take aim, and make every shot count towards unity and collaboration.
