The Magic of Hearing and Healing Hearing Hope: Starkey and Collaborative Partners with Rotary Club of Cebu Fuente

What a deeply meaningful day of service — one that continues to resonate with the heart of the Rotary Club of Cebu Fuente. This project, which took root during the term of Past President Marina Kaufmann, remains close to our hearts. Even from Switzerland, PP Marina continues to support this cause with enduring dedication. It was also a signature initiative during my own presidency in RY 2017–2018.

It’s always inspiring when multiple organizations come together in collaboration for a greater cause. When purpose-driven partners unite, something truly magical happens. Our heartfelt thanks to AJ Cabardo of Starkey for her tireless dedication and coordination, which made this mission possible.

Starkey: Creating Ripples of Hearing and Hope Across the Globe

For over 40 years, Starkey Hearing Foundation has been transforming lives by bringing the

gift of hearing to nearly 1.5 million people worldwide. This global movement was inspired by

the unwavering commitment of co-founders Bill and Tani Austin, whose vision for sustainable,

community-based hearing healthcare continues to inspire and grow — supported by the

generosity of countless donors.

As the Foundation looks toward the future, its mission remains steadfast: to expand access to

hearing healthcare through sustainable, locally-anchored solutions. While international missions laid a strong foundation, Starkey has now shifted to an even more impactful strategy —driving systemic change through in-country partnerships, education, training, and capacity

building.

One such pillar is the Starkey Hearing Institute, a premier program of the foundation that aims

to create the next generation of hearing healthcare leaders. With continued support, Starkey

hopes to further extend its reach — and amplify the power of hearing as a bridge to inclusion,

education, livelihood, and dignity.
