Strengthening Fellowship and Service: Governor Jong Fernandez Jr.’s Official Visit to the Rotary Club of Cebu South

The Rotary Club of Cebu South extended a warm and gracious welcome to Rotary International District 3860 Philippines Governor Angel “Jong” Fernandez Jr. during his official visit on October 27, 2025. He was joined by his wife and Chief of Staff, Atty. Janel Obnimaga, together with Area 1A Assistant Governor Representative Myra Urbiztondo. 

The Governor’s Visit served as an important occasion for fellowship and engagement between the District leadership and the Club. Such visits traditionally provide an opportunity to strengthen ties within Rotary, affirm the Club’s alignment with district goals, and reinforce the shared commitment to service above self. The presence of district officers underscored the importance of unity, collaboration, and sustained enthusiasm in advancing Rotary initiatives at the club level. 

Members of the Rotary Club of Cebu South welcomed the delegation with camaraderie and respect, reflecting the Club’s dedication to Rotary ideals and its active role within Rotary International District 3860 Philippines. The visit highlighted the enduring partnership between the District and its clubs, anchored on leadership development, service, and fellowship.
