Energy, enthusiasm, and purpose came together in one rhythmic celebration of service as the Rotary Club of San Fernando La Union (RCSFLU) joined fellow Rotarians in the “Zumba to End Polio” event on October 24, 2025, at the Speaker Pro Tempore Francisco Ortega Convention Center, San Fernando City. The event was hosted by the Rotary Club of Metro San Fernando in observance of World Polio Day, a global Rotary-led campaign to end polio once and for all.
The lively morning brought together Rotarians, families, and community members who danced in unison—not just for fitness, but for a future free from polio. With every beat and step, participants embodied Rotary’s unwavering commitment to Disease Prevention and Treatment, one of its seven Areas of Focus.
The event served as both a fundraiser and an awareness drive, reminding everyone that small movements, when done together, can lead to big impact.
RCSFLU’s participation underscored the importance of collaboration and community spirit. The Zumba session also promoted Community Economic Development, supporting local instructors, vendors, and wellness initiatives, while strengthening friendships that uphold Rotary’s vision of Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention through unity and shared purpose.
