The morning of September 25, 2025, instead of the usual hubbub of a club meeting, Rublou Business Center was to the brim with a different kind of anticipation. Four partner organizations, who actively help to increase the impact of our club’s initiatives, are formalizing their commitment to our projects with a Memorandum of Agreement.
The four partner organizations are Rublou Group of Companies, D’ New Orleans Training Center Phils., Inc., Central Rizal Institute of Technology, Inc., and Gardner College Cainta, Inc.
Good President Marie Loise Ticman-Canson with officers and members of the Rotary Club of Suburban East Rizal welcomed District Officers, partner representatives, and employees to the signing. R.I. District 3800 Governor Gina Sanchez, together with District 3800 Public Image Committee chairperson Rey Pineda and Senior Assistant Governor for Zone 5A Ma. Teresita Requiso, graced the occasion with their presence.
In her speech, District Governor Gina emphasized that it is important to strengthen our connections outside the four walls of Rotary and expand our reach through these partnerships. She believes the time is ripe to look externally to increase the impact of our service projects. She commends the partner organizations for believing in the Rotary Club of Suburban East Rizal and together serve their communities.
Empowering Dumagat-Remontado Farmers in Rizal with the Rublou Group
From the very beginning, The Rublou Group of Companies (Rublou Group) has been a consistent benefactor of the Rotary Club of Suburban East Rizal. The founder and chairman of the Rublou Group is our very own charter president, PDG Luizo “Louie” Ticman. PDG Louie’s generosity is the reason the club found its home in the Rublou Business Center in Ortigas Avenue where the club meets every Thursday.
In July 2025, our club’s first-ever global grant, Empowering Farmers in Rizal (GG# 2576767), was approved. The grant is intended for improving the livelihood of Yellow Corn farmers in the Ancestral Domain of the Dumagat-Remontado in Antipolo City and Baras, Rizal. An important aspect of our global grant is to connect the farmers to the market and help diversify their products into different categories for buyers. To provide sufficient scale to develop, Rublou Animal Nutrition Corporation (a subsidiary of the Rublou Group) has committed in purchasing the yellow corn production of the Dumagat-Remontados at market price. This enables the farmers to sustainably scale and invest on value-adding upgrades to their products.
Today, Rublou’s Chairman PDG Luizo Ticman formalized the long-standing partnership between The Rublou Group and RC Suburban East Rizal. Joined by his family, AG Lemuelle Luis Ticman, Rtn. Roxanne Beverlyn Ticman, Good President Loise Ticman-Canson, and his grandchildren, PDG Louie inked the MOA to help make positive change for the indigenous people of Rizal.
A Cut Above the Rest: Slaughtering Operations Training in Cainta with D’ New Orleans
Vocational training enables individuals to gain valuable skills to provide for themselves and their family. Our partner organization, the D’ New Orleans Training Center Philippines (D’ New Orleans Training Center) specializes in training in Slaughtering Operations and Meat Fabrication for Swine. Trainees graduate as a National Certificate II holder in a TESDA-accredited center. Beneficiaries for this project are trained by the D’ New Orleans Training Center and post-graduation, trainees are provided direct access to employment opportunities in Rublou Meat Products and Abattoir Operations.
The Memorandum of Agreement was signed by Ms. Aubrey Belardo, the school administrator of the D’ New Orleans Training Center and Good President Marie Loise Ticman-Canson. This partnership opens up more pathways for the marginalized to sustain a livelihood.
Central Rizal Institute of Technology’s commitment to empowering Rizal through training
Project EMMA: Empowering Mamas, the club’s project funded by the District 3800 Designated Fund, during its third iteration in 2024 trained mothers with disability in Bread and Pastry Production (National Certificate II). Our training partner then was the TESDA-accredited Central Rizal Institute of Technology Inc. (CRIT). CRIT offers various technical and vocational education such as Event Management Services, Food and Beverage Services, and Shielded Metal Arc Welding. Their commitment to collaborate with the Rotary Club of Suburban East Rizal on more service projects elevates the impact that we can make in growing local economies.
Snooky Malicdem, the President of the Central Rizal Institute of Technology Inc., signed the MoA with Good President Marie Loise Ticman-Canson. Ensuring that livelihood and vocational training programs for our less fortunate but deserving neighbors continue.
Transforming lives through Education with Gardner College
In October 2024, RC Suburban East Rizal collaborated with Gardner College Cainta Inc. (Gardner College) in bringing Mental Health issues to the forefront of these young adults. This was attended by more than eight hundred students. With Gardner College’s passion and commitment to education, we plan to bring service projects that support basic education and literacy in our communities, extending beyond Cainta to the youth of the Dumagat-Remontado.
Signed by the Dean of Gardner College, Engr. Albert Mamaril and Good President Marie Loise Ticman-Canson. Joining forces to uplift our communities through education.
Improving Lives through Touch: Barelife Wellness Corporation
Earlier in August 20, 2025, Barelife Wellness Corporation (Barelife) signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Rotary Club of Suburban East Rizal. Ms. Miriam Scott, the President of Barelife aims to help mothers in Barangay Sto. Nino, Cainta, Rizal by training qualified beneficiaries in Wellness Massage (Hilot). RC Suburban East Rizal will bring in livelihood starter kits and employment opportunities through Rublou Leasing partners. This partnership brings empowerment to the women of Cainta, Rizal through earning a living for themselves and their family.
A new way of participation
The signing of five Memoranda of Agreement with various partner organizations stands as a testament to the positive engagement that the Rotary Club of Suburban East Rizal has fostered over the years. The connections we have built in the past continue to strengthen our ability to serve our communities and expand our reach.
Energized and inspired by our partners’ shared commitment to service, we look forward to implementing impactful initiatives that truly unite us for the greater good.
