Shaping Character, Inspiring Futures: Rotary Clubs in Valenzuela and VALAPSA Unite for Youth Empowerment

The Rotary Clubs of Zone 3, District 3800, led by the Rotary Club of Valenzuela under the leadership of Good President Jennelyn Candido, has taken a meaningful step through a landmark partnership with the Valenzuela Association of Private Schools and Administrators (VALAPSA). Together with Zone 3 clubs, RC Valenzuela East, RC Valenzuela South, RC Valenzuela West, RC Metro Valenzuela, RC Iron Wheels, and RC Valenzuela Sunrise, the zone formalized this collaboration during the recent MOA signing for the Goodness Caravan project. The recently held event cemented the collaboration, setting into motion a transformative project centered on educating students about Rotary’s Four-Way Test.

District Governor Gina Sanchez graced the ceremony to personally witness and take part in the signing, demonstrating her unwavering support for the united efforts of the Zone 3 clubs. Her presence underscored the importance of collaboration and reinforced the district’s commitment to empowering every club to thrive. In her message, she reminded everyone of the spirit that binds Rotary together, affirming, “No club gets left behind.”

This initiative goes far beyond simply introducing a set of principles. It aims to root the values of truth, fairness, goodwill, and service into the moral foundation of young learners, helping them develop integrity, empathy, and responsible citizenship. By nurturing character alongside academic growth, the project supports the formation of future leaders who can make ethical choices and contribute positively to society.

Each school visited under this program receives a Four-Way Test plaque, symbolizing not only Rotary’s presence but the lives touched and values planted within the campus community.

The Goodness Caravan project also ties into Rotary’s broader vision of community upliftment embodying the spirit of sharing kindness, promoting positive action, and leaving a trail of goodwill wherever it goes. Integrating this spirit into the campaign amplifies its impact, encouraging students to become bearers of kindness and ambassadors of ethical leadership.

By joining hands with VALAPSA, the Zone 3 Rotary Clubs strengthen their mission to empower the youth and create ripple effects that extend from classrooms to households and entire communities. The partnership stands as a testament to Rotary’s belief that investing in values today shapes a brighter, more compassionate tomorrow.

A project with purpose. A partnership with meaning. A future shaped by values and service.
