Service Meets Science: RC San Fernando La Union Brings Anti-Rabies Awareness to the Forefront

The Rotary Club of San Fernando, La Union (RCSFLU) successfully conducted its 17th Regular Meeting on November 25, hosted by the vibrant and energetic Team POGO. Held at the elegant Crete Room of Thunderbird Resorts, the meeting brought together Rotarians for an afternoon of fellowship, learning, and purposeful engagement.

The meeting was hosted by Team POGO setting the tone for a productive and welcoming gathering. Members shared updates on ongoing service initiatives and upcoming club activities, underscoring RCSFLU’s continued commitment to service and community upliftment.

One of the highlights of the program was the presence of the club’s distinguished guest speaker—the Team Manager for North Luzon of New Marketlink Pharmaceutical Corporation. With expertise in pharmaceutical products and community health, he delivered an insightful presentation on anti-rabies solutions and a range of affordable over-the-counter medicines known for their reliable formulations.

His talk emphasized the importance of accessible healthcare, especially in areas where preventive measures and cost-effective medication are crucial.

The speaker also underscored the role of community partnerships and local advocacy in ensuring that essential drugs reach families that need them most.
