922 Students, One Clear Vision!

Rotary E-Club of Inner Heart, Mandaluyong Brings the Gift of Sight to Paliparan National High School

On February 4, 2026, the Rotary E-Club of Inner Heart, Mandaluyong transformed Paliparan National High School  Dasmarinas Cavite into a hub of hope and opportunity. With one clear mission, the club provided 922 students with free prescription eyeglasses—unlocking not just clearer vision, but brighter futures.

Unlocking Potential Through Clear Sight 

Studies have long shown that poor vision can hinder academic performance, dampen motivation, and limit opportunities. For many students, the simple act of seeing the blackboard clearly can mean the difference between falling behind and excelling in class. By addressing this need, Rotary ensures that no child in Paliparan is left struggling in the shadows.

This initiative was more than a medical outreach—it was a declaration that every student deserves the chance to learn, dream, and succeed without barriers.

A Day to Remember

From 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the school grounds buzzed with excitement as students tried on their new eyeglasses, many seeing the world clearly for the very first time. Smiles, laughter, and tears of joy filled the air—a testament to the transformative power of vision.

This project embodies the Rotary spirit: practical solutions to real problems, delivered with compassion and collaboration. By giving the gift of sight, the Rotary E-Club of Inner Heart, Mandaluyong and its partners have given these 922 students the tools to pursue education with confidence and clarity.

As Rotarians, we are reminded that service is not just about charity—it is about empowerment. And on this day, empowerment came in the form of a simple pair of eyeglasses.
