Rotary Project WALK Welcomes 23 New Beneficiaries in 17th Year of Life-Changing Service

Updated: May 27

On May 7, 2025, Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo and Infant Jesus Academy Kalibo hosted the assessment of the new recipients of Project WALK. This year, RCMK is excited to welcome clubs from a collaborating district, along with a few partners.

Rotary PROJECT WALK is already a legacy, running for 17 years through Wishes of Aid and Limbs for Kids (WALK), Inc., and this time, the project has 23 new prosthetic legs scheduled for fitting in the upcoming months.

Founding President Eduardo Escano of WALK INC. and President-Elect Ronald Cillio from RCMK's sister club, Rotary Club of Forbes Park (D3830), were actively involved on the ground. They were joined by members from the Rotary Club of Iloilo South led by Pres. Jaypee Patriarca, together with some members from the Rotary Club of Dumangas, District 3850.

A renewal of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was also signed between WALK INC and Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo.

A big shoutout to our other strategic partners: Kalibo Cable TV Community Channel, Love Radio Kalibo, Rotary Club of Dagupan (D3790), Philippine Nurses Association Aklan Chapter, PetroWind Energy, Inc., Rotaract Club of Metro Kalibo, Interact Club of Numancia Integrated School, Friends of Rotary, IJA volunteers from VOICE & Kalibo Family Council.
