UCP Sheryll Ann Mesina of the Rotary Club of Aseana Manila recently met with her fellow classmate president from District 3860, the President of the Rotary Club of Waling-Waling Davao, during her visit to Davao. Their meaningful conversation focused on climate change adaptation—a subject of shared urgency and commitment among Rotary leaders across districts.
The exchange highlighted the importance of collaboration in addressing environmental challenges, emphasizing Rotary’s role in driving sustainable initiatives for climate resilience. The encounter also reflected the fellowship and camaraderie that strengthen ties among clubs nationwide.
In the course of this engagement, an unexpected but lighthearted moment occurred when UCP Sheryll discovered she had mistakenly brought with her the banner of RC Bagumbayan President Christina Allada—an item that had been missing and was later found in her possession. While humorous in nature, this incident underscored the genuine bonds of friendship and goodwill that Rotary leaders share, even beyond official functions.
Through this meeting, both clubs reaffirmed their dedication to advancing Rotary’s environmental priorities and working hand-in-hand to inspire meaningful climate action.
