Rotary Fellowship Activity: Strengthening more than 25 Years of Service and Friendship

The Rotary Club of Cebu led by its President, Rheneir Mora, its Immediate Past  President, Edwin Villaver, and Past Assistant Governor Helbert Espinosa warmly  welcomed its sister club, the Rotary Club of Yotsukaido, for a fellowship visit  commemorating 25 years of enduring partnership, shared service, and international  goodwill. The visit highlighted the clubs’ long‑standing commitment to community  upliftment, anchored by their signature joint project—the Tulay Day Care Center in  Talisay City, Cebu.

A Legacy of Early Childhood Support: The Tulay Day Care Center The Tulay Day Care Center stands as a cornerstone of the Cebu–Yotsukaido  partnership, having served the community for more than two decades. Established  through the shared vision of both Rotary clubs, the center was created to provide  young children with a strong foundation in early learning at a time when accessible  childcare facilities were limited in the area.

Today, the center continues to uphold its mission through:

• Structured early childhood education programs that prepare pupils for primary  school

• Nutritional and developmental support, ensuring children grow in a healthy,  balanced environment

• A safe and nurturing learning space that greatly benefits working parents in  the barangay

• Modernized classroom tools, including the recently donated Smart TV from  RC Yotsukaido, which enhances interactive learning and digital instruction

During the visit, teachers, parents, and students warmly received the Rotarians,  expressing appreciation for the sustained support that has allowed the center to  thrive. The children showcased their activities and class routines, demonstrating how  the center has grown into a trusted and well‑loved institution in the community.

Honoring a Shared History

The fellowship further included a visit to the Rotary Marker in Talisay City, a  symbol of the Cebu–Yotsukaido partnership and the numerous service projects  undertaken through the years. Members reflected on their shared history, recognizing how the collaboration has strengthened not only the community but also  the bonds among Rotarians across borders.

Renewing Commitment for the Years Ahead

The gathering served as an opportunity for both clubs to reconnect, exchange  insights, and reaffirm their dedication to continued collaboration.

The warm  fellowship and shared reflections underscored the enduring value of international  Rotary relationships—relationships grounded in service, mutual respect, and a  collective desire to uplift lives.

As the clubs mark this milestone year, they also look forward to new opportunities  for partnership, carrying forward the same spirit that established the Tulay Day Care  Center and the many initiatives that followed.
