Rotary Clubs Partner with Knowledge Channel to Boost Literacy for Remote Learners

In a powerful collaboration aimed at transforming rural education, local Rotary clubs recently met with the Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) to brainstorm innovative strategies for making learning more engaging and accessible for underserved children.

​The strategic meeting was led by KCFI Vice President Mr. Edric Calma, alongside Ms. Liberty Reyes, KCFI Resource Mobilization.

Working in tandem are the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo (District 3850), represented by Immediate Past President Nora Helber, Club Mentor/Trainor Megs Lunn, Director Public Image Ricky Molo, and the Rotary Club of Pasay Southeast (District 3810), represented by Past Presidents Ellen B. Landicho and Pamela Nadura.

​The primary focus of the brainstorming session centered on a proposed Global Grant designed to bring sustainable educational solutions to "low-milers" or in remote, underserved public schools in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (Philippines). 

By combining KCFI’s proven educational media with Rotary’s robust community network, the partnership aims to bridge the learning gap for children who lack access to traditional educational resources.

​This initiative directly aligns with Rotary International’s Area of Focus to Basic Education and Literacy, proving once again that when passionate organizations unite, local solutions can yield global impact.
