On November 27, the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo (D3850), led by President Jess Fernandez, presented two brand new portable dental equipment units to the Philippine Dental Association (PDA) Aklan Chapter. This strategic partnership aims to enhance Disease Prevention and Treatment efforts in the region.
The collaboration was facilitated by the club’s International Service Director, PP Megs Lunn, who secured a direct grant from international service partners, the Rotary Club of Changemakers, and the Rotary Club of Jefferson from District 6250, Wisconsin, USA. The Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo expressed their honor and gratitude for this support.
The formal turnover ceremony, held in Kalibo, Aklan, was attended by D3850 Governor Voting Centino and Zone 4 Assistant Governor Joey Dela Cruz.
Dr. Chastie Amari Cabral, representing the PDA Aklan Chapter, received the equipment on behalf of the organization.
This donation underscores the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo’s commitment to improving healthcare services and supporting local communities through international collaboration.
