On October 15, 2025, the Rotary Club of Dela Paz Marcos High formally unveiled its Rotary Peace Pole at Sakura Circle, Antipolo City, a lasting symbol dedicated to the sacred values that are the cultural cornerstones of the club—peace, goodwill, and humility in service, as inscribed on the commemorative marker installed at the site.
The unveiling ceremony was led by Club President Pedro Romeo J. Evangelista Jr., together with the officers and members of the Rotary Club of Dela Paz Marcos High, and was graced by the presence of District Governor Gina Sanchez and the District Officers of Rotary International District 3800. Their participation reflected the shared commitment of Rotary leaders to promote peace as a foundational and lived value.
The successful realization of the project was made possible through the guidance and shared commitment of Rotary leaders within District 3800, including the support of Senior Assistant Governor (SAG) Sarah Canlas, whose steady encouragement reflects Rotary’s deeper culture of peace and service.
The ceremonial ribbon cutting marked the formal dedication of the Peace Pole, which bears the universal message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in multiple languages. Beyond its global symbolism, the Peace Pole stands as a local declaration of Rotary values—anchored on the belief that peace is built through consistent action, character, and service.
As stated on the marker, the Peace Pole is dedicated to the sacred values that form the cultural foundations of the Rotary Club of Dela Paz Marcos High.
This dedication affirms that Rotary service is grounded not only in projects, but in the daily practice of peace, goodwill, and humility among Rotarians and within the wider community.
In his message, President Pedro Romeo J. Evangelista Jr. emphasized that peace is not merely ceremonial or symbolic, but a conscious choice demonstrated through leadership, understanding, and service. He reiterated that Rotary’s mission is fulfilled when values engraved on markers are reflected in the way Rotarians lead, serve, and interact with others.
District Governor Gina Sanchez commended the Rotary Club of Dela Paz Marcos High for its clear alignment of message, action, and legacy, highlighting the Peace Pole as a meaningful contribution to Rotary International’s peacebuilding and conflict prevention efforts.
Now standing prominently at Sakura Circle, Antipolo City and illuminated day and night, the Peace Pole serves as a constant invitation for reflection—for Rotarians and the community alike—to uphold peace, practice goodwill, and live with humility in service. More than a structure, it is a continuing promise that the Rotary Club of Dela Paz Marcos High remains committed to being an active instrument of peace.
