As part of its ongoing commitment to improve educational facilities and promote hygiene in public schools, the Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands will donate 65-inch smart TVs to 12 schools across the city. The donation is part of a broader Global Grant Project aimed at uplifting learning conditions and infrastructure for local students and educators.
The Global Grant Project, a collaborative initiative with Rotary of Shing YanSan Korea under Rotary International, not only includes the donation of smart TVs but also the turnover of newly constructed state-of-the-art toilet blocks.
Each facility includes three comfort rooms for female students, two for male students, one for persons with disabilities (PWD), and a dedicated handwashing sink area. These enhancements are expected to significantly improve health, sanitation, and access to modern learning tools in the beneficiary schools.
In addition to infrastructure, the project includes training programs for teachers and school personnel to maximize the use of the smart TVs for digital learning and to ensure proper maintenance and use of the toilet facilities. The Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands emphasized that the initiative reflects their commitment to supporting holistic education by addressing both digital and hygienic needs in public schools.
