The Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands recently conducted its Strategic Planning and Teambuilding activity at the picturesque Puerto del Sol in Bolinao, Pangasinan. The event brought together key members of the club, including Incoming President Ponciano Valdez, Assistant Governor Anna Liza Chan, Cluster Secretary Maria Fe Oyson, and the club’s officers and board of directors. The gathering aimed to strengthen camaraderie among members and align the club’s direction for the upcoming Rotary year.

The event opened on a thoughtful note with a mental health talk led by Charter President Tom Panis and Incoming Secretary Dra. NayDarna Sito, emphasizing the importance of emotional well-being as a foundation for effective leadership and service. Their session encouraged participants to reflect on their personal and professional challenges and highlighted the importance of self-care in sustaining community involvement.

Following the wellness session, the board of directors shared heartfelt insights into why they chose to be part of Rotary. Their stories of service, passion for community work, and dedication to Rotary’s values fostered a deeper sense of purpose and unity among attendees.

These personal testimonies laid the groundwork for productive discussions on the club’s future direction.
