Rotary Club of Aseana Manila Launches Nationwide HIV Awareness Campaign

The Rotary Club of Aseana Manila has announced the launch of its nationwide HIV awareness project, an ambitious initiative aimed at reaching one million youth across schools and barangays in the Philippines.

A recent coordination meeting brought together Rotary leaders with Marc and Henry Endradora, the advocates behind Young and the Curious School Symposiums, a program known for educating and empowering students on critical health concerns. Under this new partnership, the Endradoras will focus their efforts on schools within the National Capital Region (NCR)—a key area in achieving the project’s national reach.

At the center of the campaign is United Chosen President Sheryll Ann Mesina, who has long championed HIV/AIDS awareness as a deeply personal advocacy. Her leadership, commitment, and philanthropic support were cited as instrumental in moving the campaign forward.

The rollout begins this October, spearheaded by Dennis Tobias, with support from Willdy Co and Patricia Santos, daughter of UCP Mesina and a fellow Rotarian. Together, the team will oversee the project’s implementation, ensuring its reach and impact are maximized.

The campaign targets:

  • Four schools per month

  • 1,000 to 3,000 students per school

  • A focus on education, prevention, and stigma reduction

Through this initiative, the Rotary Club of Aseana Manila and its partners seek to empower Filipino youth with knowledge, dismantle HIV-related stigma, and promote a culture of awareness and prevention.

“Together, we can create a healthier, more informed future—one student, one school, one community at a time,” the Club emphasized.
