A total of ten (10) Rotacarts were distributed to support livelihood in Tanay, Rizal, highlighting the Rotary Club of Tanay’s dedication to meaningful community service. Two (2) of these carts were earlier turned over to the Tanay Ladies Association during the club’s Bingo Panalo fundraising event, while the remaining eight (8) Rotacarts were distributed during the Tanay Fiesta Amateur Night.
The project was led by GP Rampton M. Frias, together with PP Roberto Peñaranda, Service Project Chair and head of the Rotacart Project, ensuring smooth implementation and maximum impact for all beneficiaries.
This initiative was made possible through a District Grant and the generosity of fellow Rotarians, who personally contributed to expand the reach of the project. Donors include:
• GP Rampton M. Frias – donated two (2) Rotacarts
• PP Roberto Peñaranda – oversaw the project and donated one (1) Rotacart
• IPP Emmanuel Catolos – donated one (1) Rotacart
• PP Romeo B. Cruz – fulfilled his annual commitment by donating one (1) Rotacart
Purpose and Impact of the Rotacart Project
The Rotacart Project goes beyond donation—it is a practical livelihood tool designed to empower beneficiaries. Each cart provides:
• A sustainable source of income for families and small vendors
• Support for self-reliance and dignity
• Opportunities to build long-term livelihood and lasting impact
Through the combined leadership and generosity of GP Rampton Frias and PP Roberto Peñaranda, the project demonstrates how Rotary initiatives can transform lives, uplift communities, and create meaningful opportunities.
