Reading with Rotarians

On March 10, 2026, the Rotary Club of Lakeshore Rizal, in partnership with LGU Pililla, the Rotary Club and Rotaract Club of Greater Pililla, and the Rotary Club of Baras, spearheaded a literacy project at Hulo Elementary School, Pililla, Rizal.

The initiative focused on improving reading fluency and comprehension among elementary pupils, recognizing that literacy is a cornerstone of education and leadership. By engaging young learners in interactive reading activities, the project not only enhanced their skills but also nurtured their confidence as future leaders.

Beyond its immediate impact on students, the program highlighted the power of collaboration.

The joint effort of Rotary and Rotaract clubs, together with the local government, strengthened community partnerships and demonstrated how collective action can create lasting change. The event fostered a supportive environment where children were encouraged to develop essential reading skills and cultivate a lifelong love for learning.

This literacy project stands as a testament to Rotary’s commitment to education and youth empowerment—showing that when communities come together, they can inspire brighter futures for the next generation.
