In a meaningful blend of service and storytelling, the Rotary Club of San Mateo Highlands (RCSMH) was featured once again on DZRH’s long-running public service program, Operation Tulong, on August 1, 2025. The episode was hosted by none other than Ms. Mae Binauhan, widely known as DZRH’s Wonderwoman.
A consistent media ally of the Club for over a year, Ms. Binauhan is a multi-awarded anchor recognized by the Catholic Mass Media Awards, KBP Golden Dove Awards, and Gandingan Awards, among others. Her program has provided a strong platform for RCSMH to promote its service initiatives and inspire more people to support meaningful causes.
Leading the guesting was Good President Lerma Pineda Membrado, joined by Past President and Project Coordinator Armando San Diego of the Rotary Club of Meycauayan Uptown (D3770). Together, they highlighted two major projects under the banner “Rotary Saves Lives: Water Supply Systems,” which had their groundbreaking ceremonies on August 2, 2025—at Balagbag Elementary School in Montalban, Rizal, and Pintong Bukawe National High School in San Mateo, Rizal.
These initiatives aim to provide access to safe, sustainable water for students and staff. They are made possible through collaboration with the Rotary Clubs of Meycauayan Uptown, Rodriguez, and global partners, showing how Rotary’s network can unite to deliver life-saving impact.
Another heartfelt moment during the broadcast was the update on “Ara” (not her real name), a 10-year-old girl from Pangasinan born with a congenital condition. She has been under the care of the club for over a year—an initiative that began during the term of Immediate Past President Mark Jay Dagat. Ara’s continuing journey is a symbol of Rotary’s commitment to hope, healing, and long-term service.
More than just a media feature, RCSMH’s partnership with DZRH has also extended to real-world service. The club was recently invited to join a community outreach in Muntinlupa, organized by DZRH in partnership with UNILAB, one of the country’s leading healthcare providers. These collaborations help strengthen Rotary’s public image and open doors for more sponsors and service-driven partners to join the mission.
With Ms. Binauhan’s advocacy and DZRH’s nationwide reach, Rotary’s voice grows louder and its work becomes more visible—reaching communities that need it most.
When public service meets purposeful media, the result is powerful. Stories move hearts, partnerships grow stronger, and the impact becomes far-reaching.
As Rotary believes: When we connect and unite efforts, greater service follows. With steadfast allies like Ms. Mae Binauhan and DZRH, that service doesn’t just happen—it’s shared, celebrated, and sustained.
