Youth of Tarlac Take Center Stage in Rotary Club of Central Tarlac’s New GenZ Week

The Rotary Club of Central Tarlac successfully conducted its Induction and Turnover Ceremony on September 15, 2025, as part of the celebration of New GenZ Week. The program aimed to recognize and empower the youth by giving selected Grade 10 students the opportunity to experience the roles and responsibilities of public servants, as they were sworn in to serve as mayor, vice mayor, and councilors for one week.

In his message, Gov. Danilo Philip Torres, Governor of Rotary International District 3790, encouraged the young leaders to value the experience as more than just a role-play, but as a meaningful exercise in leadership, collaboration, and active listening. Meanwhile, Atty. Leo Miguel Escalona delivered the inspirational message of Mayor Susan A. Yap, emphasizing the importance of youth participation and unity in building a stronger community rooted in collective strength and service.

The program concluded with a powerful message from Youth City Mayor Hon. Pricilla V. Pacheco, who declared, “I will not stay silent until I am heard,” reflecting the courage and strong voice of the Tarlakenyo youth as they embrace their role in leadership and public service.
