The Rotary Club of San Fernando La Union (RCSFLU) reinforced its commitment to service and leadership through a series of activities held from August 11 to 13, 2025, focusing on collaboration, governance, and Rotary grant management.
On August 11, RCSFLU officers and members attended the Cluster 1B 1st Meeting at Rosebowl Steakhouse and Restaurant in Bauang, La Union. The event gathered clubs under the cluster to discuss common objectives, align initiatives, and strengthen inter-club cooperation.
The following day, August 12, the Club convened its 5th Regular Meeting at Thunderbird Resorts, with District Governor Nominee Zeny Dela Cruz as guest. DGN Dela Cruz shared insights on leadership and the importance of building a strong Rotary presence in communities.
The meeting was immediately followed by the 2nd Board of Directors Meeting, where officers deliberated on operational matters and planned upcoming projects.
On August 13, RCSFLU actively participated in a Civil Society Organization (CSO) Meeting, affirming its role in strengthening partnerships with stakeholders in community development.
Later, Pres Alvin, Sec. Lexus, Treas. Aldrin and TRF Dir. Sherwin joined the Grant Management Seminar via Zoom, which provided practical guidance on the proper stewardship of Rotary grants to ensure transparency, accountability, and sustainability in service projects.
