The Rotary Club of San Fernando, La Union (RCSFLU) marked another milestone in its commitment to educational support and community development as it entered into a formal partnership with the Schools Division Office of San Fernando (SDO-SF) through the signing of the Water for Life Memorandum of Agreement on December 3. The initiative underscores the shared goal of ensuring sustainable access to clean and safe water for learners and school communities across the division.
The MOA signing, attended by RCSFLU officers and SDO officials, highlighted collaborative efforts to improve school facilities and support the health and well-being of students. Through the Water for Life project, RCSFLU aims to provide essential water systems and sanitation support to selected schools, aligning with Rotary’s focus on water and hygiene.
Just a day later, on December 4, RCSFLU received a significant recognition during the SDO Address, where the club was honored with the Lifetime Partner Award by the Schools Division Superintendent (SDS).
The award acknowledges the club’s long-standing dedication to education, its consistent involvement in school-based programs, and its far-reaching contributions to learners, teachers, and communities.
The back-to-back events reflect RCSFLU’s strong partnership with the Department of Education and its continued efforts to create sustainable, life-changing projects for the community.
