RC San Fernando La Union Joins CDRRMO Executive Committee in Emergency Meeting on Typhoon Emong Response

The Rotary Club of San Fernando La Union (RCSFLU) took part in the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) Executive Committee’s emergency meeting convened by the City Government of San Fernando at the People’s Hall, City Hall Main Building.

Presided over by City Mayor Hermenegildo A. Gualberto, the meeting brought together active associates in disaster risk reduction and management to review, deliberate, and approve crucial measures in response to the devastation caused by Typhoon Emong. Discussions centered on the presentation of approved realigned projects, programs, and activities, as well as proposed initiatives for response, rehabilitation, and recovery. The Local Finance Committee also presented possible funding sources to ensure the successful implementation of identified programs.

RCSFLU’s active participation reflects its strong commitment to disaster response and community resilience. By working alongside the local government, the club continues to contribute its resources, expertise, and volunteer efforts toward coordinated relief and recovery operations.

In line with its theme “Unite for Good,” RCSFLU remains dedicated to supporting the city’s disaster preparedness and rehabilitation plans, ensuring that the needs of affected communities are met while building a stronger, safer San Fernando for the future.
