The Rotary Club of San Fernando (La Union) officially convened its First Regular Meeting of Rotary Year 2026–2027 on July 14, 2026, bringing together members for an afternoon of fellowship, learning, and renewed commitment to Rotary's mission of Creating Lasting Impact. The meeting was highlighted by the presence of Dr. Nestor C. Heraña, CESO VI, Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Schools Division Superintendent of the Schools Division Office–City of San Fernando, La Union, who served as the club's distinguished guest speaker.
Drawing from over three decades of experience in educational leadership and public service, Dr. Heraña shared valuable insights on transformational leadership, collaboration, and the vital role of community partnerships in shaping future generations. He underscored the importance of empowering young people through quality education and encouraged Rotarians to continue complementing the efforts of educational institutions through meaningful service initiatives.
Members actively engaged in the discussion, reflecting on how Rotary's values align with the goals of building stronger schools and more resilient communities.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for members to reconnect, exchange updates on ongoing projects, and reaffirm their commitment to serving the community under the leadership of President Remigio "Rem" Bonifacio III.
As the club's first regular meeting of the Rotary Year, the gathering set an inspiring tone for the months ahead—one founded on learning, fellowship, and a shared vision of making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
