RC San Fernando La Union Holds 29th Regular Meeting Aboard MV Doulos Hope

The Rotary Club of San Fernando La Union (RCSFLU) held its 29th Regular Meeting aboard the MV Doulos Hope on May 20, 2025, at the Events Hall of the vessel docked at Poro Point Seaport in San Fernando City, La Union.
The special session was graced by distinguished guests from OM Ships, the organization behind the globally renowned floating book fair. Among the guest speakers were Jun Diaz, Operations Manager of OM Ships; Jabulani Mlambo, Port Engagement Head; and Pil-Hun Park, Director of Doulos Hope. They shared insights into the ship’s mission of spreading knowledge, hope, and cultural understanding across the world through literature and service.
The meeting underscored the shared vision between Doulos Hope and RCSFLU, particularly in their commitment to education, community empowerment, and international goodwill. The engagement also provided an opportunity for Rotary members to explore collaboration and service initiatives aligned with the values both organizations uphold.
The MV Doulos Hope, currently docked at Poro Point, continues to welcome thousands of visitors to its floating book fair and cultural exhibits. RCSFLU expressed its appreciation for the opportunity to hold the meeting aboard the vessel, highlighting it as a memorable event that strengthens the spirit of unity, literacy, and service.
