The Rotary Club of San Fernando La Union (RCSFLU) held its 11th Regular Meeting on October 1, 2025, featuring an insightful and timely discussion on Integrity led by Prof. Grace Burwell Corrales, an educator, trainer, life coach, and independent consultant.
In a period when the country faces growing public concern over ethical issues and moral accountability, the message of integrity resonated deeply with every Rotarian present. Prof. Corrales emphasized that integrity remains the foundation of true leadership and service — a quality that must guide both personal and professional actions.
She underscored four core values that define integrity: Consistency, Cooperation, Character, and Courage. According to her, integrity begins with consistency — staying true to one’s values even when no one is watching. Cooperation reminds individuals that integrity thrives in teamwork, built on mutual respect and trust. Character speaks of authenticity and moral strength, while courage is the will to stand by what is right, even in the face of challenges.
Prof. Corrales’ engaging session encouraged members to reflect on how these values align with Rotary’s Four-Way Test and its enduring motto, Service Above Self. The discussion reminded everyone that service gains true meaning when anchored in honesty, transparency, and moral conviction.
The meeting concluded with renewed inspiration among RCSFLU members — a call to uphold integrity not just within Rotary, but in every sphere of life. In unity and shared purpose, the Club continues to embody the spirit of the year’s theme, “Unite for Good,” standing as a beacon of ethical leadership and compassionate service in the community.
