RC San Fernando La Union Board Charts the Course for a Year of Lasting Impact

With a shared vision for purposeful leadership and effective governance, the Rotary Club of San Fernando (La Union) convened its First Board Meeting of Rotary Year 2026–2027 on July 14, 2026. Led by President Remigio "Rem" Bonifacio III, the meeting brought together the Board of Directors to establish priorities and set the direction for another productive year of service, fellowship, and impactful community initiatives.
The Board discussed the club's strategic plans, committee programs, membership development initiatives, financial matters, and key administrative concerns. Guided by Rotary International President Yinka Babalola's theme, "Create Lasting Impact," members reaffirmed their commitment to implementing projects that respond to the evolving needs of the community while strengthening the club's tradition of excellence in service.
Among the highlights of the meeting was the presentation and discussion of Project SHINE (Schools Helping Include Neurodivergent Exceptional Learners), one of the club's flagship initiatives for the new Rotary Year. Scheduled on August 8, 2026, the project aims to promote awareness, inclusion, and support for neurodivergent learners by equipping educators, parents, and stakeholders with knowledge and strategies that foster inclusive learning environments. Board members discussed the program framework, partner coordination, logistical preparations, and ways to maximize the project's impact within the education sector.
The Board likewise emphasized the importance of collaboration among committees to ensure the successful implementation of upcoming projects and activities. Through careful planning, transparent governance, and active member participation, the club seeks to sustain its momentum and continue delivering meaningful programs that uplift communities and improve lives.
With a clear roadmap, united leadership, and a shared commitment to Service Above Self, the Rotary Club of San Fernando (La Union) is poised to transform plans into action and opportunities into lasting impact—one project, one partnership, and one community at a time.
