RC San Fernando La Union and City PNP Mark National Heroes Day with Acts of Service

In celebration of National Heroes Day and its theme “Isang Diwa, Isang Lahi, Isang Bayanihan,” the Rotary Club of San Fernando La Union (RCSFLU) partnered with the City of San Fernando Police Station to bring hope and mobility to persons with disabilities (PWDs) through a meaningful wheelchair donation on August 25, 2025.

As part of its continuing mission to Unite for Good, RCSFLU, together with the City PNP, visited two beneficiaries in their homes—a stroke patient from Barangay San Francisco and an orthopedic patient from Barangay Saoay. Each recipient received a wheelchair, providing them with comfort, independence, and renewed dignity.

The families of the beneficiaries welcomed the team with heartfelt thanks, underscoring how these simple yet significant gestures make a lasting difference in their daily lives. For RCSFLU, the initiative stood as a testament to the true spirit of heroism—not just in grand acts, but in small, compassionate deeds that uplift the most vulnerable members of society.

Through this joint effort, RCSFLU and the City PNP honored the heroes of the past by living out their legacy of service, unity, and bayanihan—proving that heroism continues in every act of kindness.
