RC Metro San Fernando (LU) welcomes more than 580 delegates as it hostsDistrict 3790 Public Image Seminar

“What you see is what you get”, “First impressions last”, these and others are the reasons why Public Image is important. For us in Rotary, collaboration is extremely important. We partner with different organizations and government offices to make sure our goal is achieved. But how can we make the collaborations possible if we do not reflect a good image to them?

During the District 3790 Public Image Seminar held on September 6, 2025 at Speaker Pro Temper Francisco I. Ortega Convention Center, San Fernando City, La Union, the importance of Public Image to Rotary was tackled. Foremost, we as Rotarians are the image of Rotary. We are the ambassadors of our organization. Everything we say and do creates an image of what a Rotarian is outside our circles. It is important that when we deal with people, we must be in our best behavior, that is why we are guided by the Four-Way Test.

Also discussed in the seminar is the importance of communication and expanding our reach through utilization of all available platforms where we can showcase the good works of our organization. The seminar focused on highlighting a good story, in which our organization has a lot to tell. Lastly, we learned how to use all these to grow our membership in Rotary.

We are blessed to be taught by four incredible speakers. We thank Past District Governor Mildred Vitanggol, the current Zone 10A Regional Public Image Coordinator, PP Majella Villaroman - Zone 10A Assistant Regional Public Image Coordinator, Rotary Club of San Juan Supreme President Salve Ibanez - a journalist and newscaster for ABS-CBN news channel, and Rotary Club of San Juan Supreme Charter President Johan Josh Santos - Zone 10A Assistant Regional Membership Coordinator for their invaluable contribution in improving the Public Image of our District.

As our Rotary International Presidential message says “Unite for Good”, let us all work together to make known the beauty and kindness Rotary has to offer to the world.
