RC Metro San Fernando La Union Kicks Off New Rotary Year with Signature Project: A.L.A.G.A.

Every lasting impact begins with a single act of compassion.

On July 1, 2026, at Isla Solomon, Bauang, La Union, the Rotary Club of Metro San Fernando (LU) officially kicked off the new Rotary year through the launch of its Signature Project, A.L.A.G.A. – Alalay sa Ligtas at Gabay na Adhikain para sa Kabataan, led by our "Create Lasting Impact" President, Ma. Clarissa "Bong" Lee, with one clear purpose: to invest in the lives of our children and empower the next generation to become healthy, resilient, compassionate, and responsible individuals.

Guided by the belief that every child deserves a safe environment and every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, A.L.A.G.A. goes beyond providing immediate assistance. It is a long-term commitment to nurture young lives through education, health, protection, values formation, leadership development, and community engagement.

This is more than a one-day outreach, it is a promise. Through monthly activities in different

communities, we will continue walking alongside our beneficiaries, helping them build confidence, develop life skills, and discover their potential. By consistently serving and mentoring them, we hope to create meaningful change that extends beyond today and into their future.

What makes A.L.A.G.A. even more meaningful is that it embraces all Seven Areas of Focus of Rotary, allowing us to serve our communities in a holistic and sustainable way. Every activity, every lesson shared, every helping hand, and every opportunity created contributes to a greater vision of building stronger families, empowered youth, and more resilient communities.

As we begin this journey under Rotary's theme, "Create Lasting Impact," we are reminded that true service is not measured by the number of projects we accomplish, but by the lives we transform and the hope we leave behind.
