RC Metro Kalibo joins Barangays Albasan and Navitas’ Blood Drives



On January 7, 2024, Albasan Elementary School, hosted the Mobile Blood Donation (MBD) program. A total of 31 blood units were collected from the selfless donors who participated. During the event, several Rotarians found their perfect match for “Type Kita” – a fun activity that encourages others to donate.

PP Loida Enero had a stroke of luck and found a match with our cub president Ricky Molo. Meanwhile, Rotaract President Ace matched with 26-year-old Bani, a regular donor from Albasan. Rtn. Edwin Autencio’s search for “ka Type Kita” is Leah Calsado, a first-time donor from Navitas. PP Megs Lunn and first-time donor teacher Joelyn Gonzales of Albasan Elementary School made a match. Another pairing was made between Rotaractor Reina Cahilig and her match Navitas SK, as well as RCY volunteer of Garcia College of Technology Kagawad Nicole Buyan (19yo). Rotarian Lester Cadunggan found a match with a second-year student of Aklan Polytechnic College Felix Andre Doro, and Interactor Bhea Largonio of NIS matched with another regular donor from Albasan Glorile Crispino (38yo).

Additionally, Interactor Joanha Mingotefound a match with first-time donor APC student Sidfrey Tabares (18yo), and host venue Albasan Elementary School Teacher-In-Charge Ms. Gie Magdaluyo’s “Type Kita” blood matched with another APC student and first-time donor Patrick Ilarina (18yo).

They expressed gratitude to fellow collaborators – LGU Numancia, RHU Numancia, Albasan and Navitas Barangay Councils, Aklan Blood Coordinating Council (ABCC), Rotaract and NIS Interact Clubs, Dunkin Donuts and media partners for making the event a success.
