RC Mariveles Launches End Polio Plus Boxes in Support of End Polio Now Campaign During 45th Charter Anniversary

In celebration of its 45th Charter Anniversary held on April 25, 2026, the Rotary Club of Mariveles, led by President Charlene B. Versoza, in coordination with Assistant Governor Lenie Dela Cruz Lazo of Cluster 4B, officially launched the “End Polio Plus Boxes” as part of its continued commitment to Rotary International’s global campaign, End Polio Now. The initiative was also held in support of Polio Vaccination Week observed from April 24 to 30.

The launching of the End Polio Plus Boxes underscores Rotary’s unwavering mission to eradicate polio worldwide through sustained awareness, advocacy, and collective action. The activity aims to strengthen public understanding of the importance of immunization and to encourage voluntary contributions toward the global fight against polio.

As part of the implementation, the End Polio Plus Boxes were formally distributed to sister clubs within District 3790, as well as to identified partner stakeholders. These boxes will serve both as collection points for donations and as visible symbols of Rotary’s continued dedication to achieving a polio-free world.

The initiative successfully fostered stronger collaboration among Rotary clubs and partners, encouraging greater participation in advocacy efforts aligned with Polio Vaccination Week. It also reinforced a shared commitment to public health and disease prevention through unified action.

Through this meaningful undertaking, the Rotary Club of Mariveles reaffirmed its dedication to “Service Above Self” by actively supporting global health initiatives. The End Polio Plus Boxes project stands as a continuing reminder of Rotary’s vital role in the worldwide effort to eliminate polio and protect future generations.
