In a remarkable initiative aimed at transforming lives through education and skill development, the Rotary Club of Jose Abad Santos Manila, led MIP Desiree Gayamo, partnered with the Rotary Club of Downtown Manila to host the 21st District Vocational Training Seminar. This event took place at the Barangay Masambong Gazebo and was themed “J.A.C.K.I.E - Journey to Achieve Career Knowledge, Industry, and Expertise.”

The seminar attracted a diverse group of participants eager to learn practical skills in Tile Setting, Welding, Dry Wall Installation, and Skim Coating. These are crucial trades that offer numerous career opportunities in today’s job market. By focusing on these skills, the seminar aims to equip individuals with the expertise needed to excel in various industries, thereby enhancing their employability and opening doors to new career paths.

This vocational training initiative is part of the longest-running project of Rotary International District 3810, underscoring the Rotary’s commitment to community service and development. The program not only provides technical skills but also instills confidence and motivation among participants to pursue their career aspirations.

The event featured a keynote speech by Mr. Antonio P. Borromeo, a respected Board Member of TESDA, who emphasized the importance of continuous learning and adaptation in today’s rapidly changing job landscape. His insights inspired attendees to embrace lifelong learning as a means to achieve professional and personal growth.

Gratitude is extended to the Rotary Club of Downtown Manila for their exemplary organization and hosting of this impactful project. Their dedication, along with the enthusiasm of all participants, ensured the seminar’s success and highlighted the power of community collaboration in driving positive change.

Through initiatives like this, the Rotary Clubs are not only empowering individuals but also contributing to the broader goal of sustainable community development, creating a ripple effect of progress and prosperity.
