RC Greater Floridablanca Facilitates Donation of 20 Hospital Beds to Romana Pangan District Hospital

In August 2025, the Rotary Club of Greater Floridablanca (RCGF), led by Past President Tony Yuzon and President Diana Rose Morales, successfully facilitated the donation of 20 hospital beds to Romana Pangan District Hospital (RPDH) through the invaluable provision and support of the Alfonso Yuchengco Foundation (AYF) and strong support, assistance  and commitment of Hon. Mayor Michael L. Galang, whose dedication to public health continues to benefit our community. The initiative was driven by a strong sense of urgency and commitment to improve local healthcare services.

The donation drive began during a regular Cluster-4A club meeting, a fellow Rotarian shared that the foundation was extending assistance to remote district hospitals by providing hospital beds. Recognizing the immediate need, the club leadership acted without hesitation and  delay. Based on firsthand knowledge and experience, it was evident that the district hospital was facing a serious shortage of beds, with some patients being accommodated outside due to lack of space.

Though, the donation is almost 2 years in the making prior delivery caused by the completion of various required documents for submission , RC Greater Floridablanca remained resilient, patient,  and motivated in achieving its goal of having the hospital beds donated and delivered to the district hospital . This is about “SERVICE ABOVE SELF” the battle cry of Rotary International and helping community development.

Through swift coordination and determination, the donation was secured and delivered. The 20 new hospital beds will replace old and worn-out units, significantly improving patient comfort and safety while expanding the hospital’s capacity to serve more individuals.

This initiative highlights the power of proactive leadership and community collaboration between civil society organizations, foundations, and the local government unit. This is aligned with the 2025-2026 Rotary Year theme “UNITE FOR GOOD”.

More importantly, it brings lasting impact to the people of Floridablanca and nearby towns, ensuring better access to healthcare facilities and more dignified conditions for patients of Floridablanca and nearby locality.
