On July 17, 2026, in solidarity with the national movement toward accessibility and empowerment, the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo (District 3850), in partnership with Autism Hearts Philippines (AHP) and the RCC Ausome Parents of the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo, proudly joins the nation in celebrating the 48th National Disability Rights Week from July 17 to 23, 2026.
This year’s celebration centers on the national theme: "Rights First, Legislation Forward – Strategic Action for Equal Participation and Inclusive Development." The observance highlights the urgent need to prioritize fundamental rights and implement concrete legislative actions that foster true equality and sustainable inclusion for persons with disabilities.
Aligning with this year's strategic focus, the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo and its partners reaffirm their unwavering commitment to supporting 20 registered neurodivergent children through specialized initiatives, including the signature AHP Art Therapy Program and targeted vocational skills training tailored for the Teen Ausomes.
To prevent any disruption to these crucial developmental services during the ongoing renovation of the Art Therapy Center, Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo President Leo Franklin Magno has generously provided a temporary venue. His prompt support ensures that young participants continue receiving seamless therapy and skill-building sessions without interruption.
"We remain deeply committed to building a more inclusive, accessible, and compassionate community where every individual is respected, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential," stated President Magno. "Real inclusion requires strategic action, continuous support, and meaningful collaboration."
