RC Clarkfield Conducts “Save Lives” CPR Learning Sessions to Strengthen Emergency Response and Community Preparedness

From February 18 to March 16, 2026, the Rotary Club of Clarkfield successfully implemented its life-saving initiative titled “Save Lives – CPR Learning Session,” aimed at strengthening community capacity in responding to medical emergencies. The training sessions engaged a diverse group of participants, including Rotarians, public school teachers and staff, corporate employees, and frontline service workers such as cashiers, waiters, waitresses, and crew members.

The program focused on equipping participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), emphasizing the importance of immediate response in critical situations. Topics covered included emergency interventions for drowning, snake bites, heart attacks, and other life-threatening conditions where timely action can significantly improve survival outcomes.

Aligned with Rotary International’s Area of Focus on Disease Prevention and Treatment, the initiative aimed to empower ordinary individuals to become capable first responders within their workplaces and communities. By enhancing awareness and hands-on skills, the program helps bridge the gap between the occurrence of emergencies and the arrival of professional medical assistance.

Participants actively engaged in simulation exercises and demonstrations, gaining confidence in performing CPR and basic first aid techniques. The sessions underscored the reality that in emergencies, every second counts, and that informed and prepared individuals can make the difference between life and death.

Through this initiative, the Rotary Club of Clarkfield continues its commitment to building safer and more resilient communities. By sharing life-saving knowledge, the club reinforces its mission of Service Above Self—transforming ordinary citizens into empowered responders capable of saving lives when it matters most.
