The Rotary Club of Cebu Port Centre (RCCPC) continues to make a meaningful impact on education and community development with its latest initiative.
Recently, RCCPC proudly turned over essential office equipment, including a printer, scanner, and photocopier machine, along with bond papers and extra ink, to Tejero Elementary School’s Alternative Learning System (ALS) program. This significant contribution aims to enhance access to learning materials for students, ensuring a more efficient and effective educational experience.
The donation was warmly received by ALS Head Teacher Edna Dignos, who expressed her gratitude for the much-needed resources. These materials will greatly assist in the reproduction of learning modules and other essential documents, benefiting both educators and students within the program.
This initiative was spearheaded by RCCPC President Kit Daleon, with the dedicated efforts of Community Service Chair Robert Barquilla, Vocational Service Chair Jerome Villordon, and Spouse Cathy Daleon. Their commitment to supporting education highlights the club’s ongoing mission to empower communities through service.
RCCPC has long been an advocate for quality education, recognizing its crucial role in shaping the future. By supporting programs like ALS, the organization continues to bridge educational gaps and provide learners with better opportunities to succeed.
The club remains steadfast in its mission to uplift communities through various service projects, reinforcing the core values of Rotary International—service above self, leadership, and fellowship. With continuous efforts like this, RCCPC is helping to create a brighter and more promising future for students in need.
