On a quiet day in Minglanilla, Cebu, the classrooms of Tulay Day Care Center came alive—not just with brighter colors, but with laughter, care, and a sense of being remembered. For the children who learn and play within its walls, the visit of the Rotary Club of Cebu South was more than an outreach activity; it was a moment of joy that made them feel seen and valued.
With gentle hands and generous hearts, club members carried out their Brigada Eskwela initiative, bringing paints that refreshed the learning space and a donated sound system that added new energy to the day care center. What may seem like simple contributions became symbols of encouragement—reminders that these young learners matter and that their environment deserves care and attention.
Beyond brightening classrooms, the club also looked after the children’s health through Project WASH, promoting cleanliness and proper hygiene. These lessons, quietly shared, help protect young lives and lay the foundation for healthier futures—one habit, one child at a time.
The day was made even more meaningful with the distribution of vitamins and food to the students of Tulay Day Care Center.
In those small packets were not just nourishment, but reassurance—proof that someone cares enough to give, to show up, and to serve with compassion. Smiles spread easily, and gratitude filled the room in ways words could not fully capture.
Through these heartfelt efforts, the Rotary Club of Cebu South quietly lived out the essence of Service Above Self—uplifting children at a crucial stage of life and strengthening the community by investing in its youngest members. In moments like these, Rotary’s mission finds its truest meaning: changing lives through kindness, one child, one school, and one act of service at a time
